Stanley 33-725 25' Fat Max Tape Measure

Customer Review:Fat Max Tape MesureI bought two Fat Max Tape Measures. The deal was good, fast shipping, great product. Durable, well made toolWithout repeating the praise from previous reviewers for its standout and ease of use, I wish to note the exceptional durability of this tool. The Stanley Fat Max has a remarkable ability to survive falls. I have dropped this tape many times from up to 24 feet. Other than minor cosmetic blemishes, I find no visible damage to the tape measure after months of daily service in remodeling. The mechanism, tape, and mylar coating are also in very good condition after hard use.
In response to a previous reviewer's concern about using the Fat Max in harsh weather, I use my tape regularly for masonry work and other tasks which expose the tool to moisture. I have yet to see signs of corrosion or deterioration of the mechanism. Worth the money, useful features, and tough as nails. Who designed this?I've been stymied trying to find the width of the Fat Max's body to calculate the total length. I measured it with another tape (irony) at 3 1/4" but wondered why there wasn't an indication on the housing. Finally, with my arm's-length near eyesight I found a molded legend that's almost covered by the belt clip. Pisspoor product design, but it's a Stanley tradition. Even with reading glasses its hard to read the reflective chrome plated numerals on earlier Stanley tapes I've owned. I wrote a big "+3 1/4" on the case with a Sharpie and vow to avoid Stanley products in the future. Keywords: Measuring & Layout Tools; Tape Measures;

Panasonic EY6405FQKW 12-Volt Drill/ Driver Kit with 2 2.0Ah Ni-Cd Battery PacksImpressively compact, lightweight, and comfortable to use, Panasonic's 12-volt drill/driver fits into tight spaces where other bulkier drills won't. What about power? This Panasonic packs up to 293 inch-pounds of torque, while the motor's speed control allows full torque delivery at any speed, with dual speed ranges of 0 to 400 and 1 to 1,300 rpm. The 2 amp ni-cad batteries provide solid run time and charge in just 30 minutes. But the first thing you notice about this tool is how compact it is (the chassis measures only 8 inches) and how comfortable it feels in your hand. The soft-pad grip provides extra cushion and the balance is superb, two important features if you wield a cordless day in and day out. The tool lacks an onboard bit holder, but that's about all it lacks. This drill is a smart buy for plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and even woodworkers--in short, anyone who wants a small, compact drill that packs a lot of torque and is built to last. The package includes two 2 amp ni-cad batteries, a universal charger, and a hard-plastic carrying case. --Jon Groebner

Customer Review:Great Drill!I did my homework and looked at the price/power/weight/recommendations for a drill to have around the house and this was it. It replaced a corded Black & Decker so it's an incredible step up. For a home owner (not professional construction) more than 12 volts would be over kill. Panasonic is also newer model than most of the competition from what I researched. If you are one who thinks that technology only evolves for the better as time goes on this is something to consider. Best Cordless Drill I've Owned! This is the first Panasonic drill I've purchased and I really love it. Much better than any of the Porter Cable drills I've owned. As others have said, this Panasonic is light, compact and very powerful. It's actually smaller than a 9.6v Porter Cable drill I had and the balance and ergonomics are far better. The Porter Cables' keyless Jacobs chucks required two hands to tighten while the Panasonic's chuck requires just one. It also seems to be more precise with no visible runout. I have yet to have a bit come loose in over a year of operation.
The Panasonic's trigger won't pinch a finger like some on the market and the reverse button can be easily pushed with either a finger or a thumb. I also like the battery configuration. The battery is the post style (like DeWalt's) and slides up into the handle, with a positive click to lock. The battery release buttons on each side of the case are large and easily squeezed one handed to remove the battery. The battery can be inserted into the charger just as simply. Porter Cable switched to a horizontal slide lock for their batteries several years ago, which I found very inconvenient. Another nifty feature is this Panasonic drill can stand on the battery pack for quick retrieval without tipping over. I've never owned or used a Porter Cable drill that could do that.
Panasonic cordless tools are generally not available in the big boxes, but are certainly worth looking for at an alternative source. I highly recommend this tool, you won't be disappointed.
Best of the bestI have used many cordless driver / drills over the years - this one is the best.
Perfectly balanced, very lightweight, and extremely powerful - it rivals my Bosch 18V.
The drill / driver really impressed me most with it's ability to drive a 3" deck screw, whilst I barely squeezed the trigger - the torque is phenomenal!
This is the second one I have purchased - the one I bought for work 3 years ago is still going strong, and was recommended to me by our supplier (who deals in all the top names).
You won't be disappointed and at $130 it's a bargain! Keywords: Cordless Tools; Combo Packs; (Volt); (V);

FuturesNew Violin 4/4 Full Size with Case & Bow;Great value for the beginning student;Maple sides and back;Spruce top, ebony colored pegs;Wood bow with genuine horse hair;
Customer Review:A very solid little creature for starting out with.This little violin is well priced and reasonably well made for anyone wanting to start out playing, it has all the right bits in the right places and is even available in funky colours if thats what students want just make heads turn and the learning continue (believe me, if a funky colour get's a childs peers giving postive feedback and showing interest then children will be keener to keep up the musical habit! A habit which is so often a trendy whim!)
It's not a strad, but then what beginner needs a master players instrument? That would be like giving a baby a kettle drum instead of a rattle no?
Excellent Beginner's Violin, GREAT Service from this storeI bought this violin for my nephew as a beginner's violin and was quite pleased with the value for the price, and it was an affordable way for him to have his own instrument and not have to rent or use a second-hand one. My sister did not realize that it takes a while to "break in" a new violin, meaning strings sometimes break, you have to be careful tuning, etc. and when she thought the violin was "no good" I thought it was a case of having to break it in but also contacted the store to see what the return policy would be. They were so GREAT that myself as a musician would buy from them for me personally again, I have played many string instruments for over 30 years and was quite impressed with the response (return no problem). Overall the service was superb they shipped super fast, kept me informed via email and followed up on the initial "problem report" which turned out just fine as the violin "broke in" and is turning out quite nicely for my nephew. I have not encountered this kind of caring service from the big Sam Ash and other music stores I usually give my business to in New York, and the care and concern from the vendor made a big impression on me. I recommend buying an electric tuner and additional strings during the break-in period, being gentle with the instrument, and asking any questions to the vendor, they are knowledgeable and very helpful and the kind of place that musicians beginner to advanced should shop at. Excellent Beginner's Instrument!I purchased this violin about a month ago. As a beginning violin student, the previous violin I was playing on was a veritable piece of cardboard with four strings. I wasn't advanced enough for a very fancy violin, and I was tired of renting, so I went online to find a decent violin on a budget. I came across many violins on Amazon, but this one was within my price range and it looked good and came with accessories, like a case, strap, and rosin. I received it about 5 days after I ordered it. The violin looked really good. But it did not come with a bridge attached. I had to put the bridge on myself, which was not all that hard to do. I thought that I would ask my violin teacher to do it, but I managed to do it myself. I started to tune the violin and it seemed okay at first, but the next day when I went to play, the strings were all out of tune again. I had to retune it all over again. I started to get annoyed after doing this a few days in a row. I thought that I had ended up paying for a violin that didn't work. But when I took it to my violin teacher, she said that it was natural for a violin to not hold its tune at first. She said that the strings needed time to settle in. She gave me some peg drops to keep the pegs from slipping. I rubbed a little on the pegs and it seemed to work. She also told me to be careful when I tuned the violin because if I tightened the strings too tight, they could break. After I put the peg drops, I didn't need to tune the violin as often. And now the pegs do not slip at all and the strings just need minor day to day tuning. As for the sound, I can't complain because it is after all an instrument. Unfortunately, the violin does not play itself! Whatever sound I create on the violin is exactly what the violin produces. So if it notes coming out of the violin don't sound good...well let's just say that this is why I'm taking lessons!
This instrument does not have the quality of a $4,000 violin, but obviously I shouldn't expect that since I got this violin for a great low price. You get what you pay for, and for the price I paid for it, I think this violin is GREAT!! I think it is the perfect beginner's instrument and the quality of the violin is very good, as is the quality of the bow and the case. Even my teacher thinks it's great. I am VERY HAPPY with the purchase and would definitely buy from this seller again.

DEWALT DW059K-2 18-Volt 1/2-inch Cordless Impact Wrench Kit
FuturesAnti-slip grip reduces vibration for increased comfort;DeWalt built motor for extended durability;Impact mechanism delivers 300 ft./lbs. of maximum torque;Patented 1/2-inch anvil design for extended durability;Rocker switch for easy access to forward/reverse;
Customer Review:coedless impact wrenchThis is the exact tool I was looking for. I was using a air-powered impact wrench it was costing me time and money on the job. There never was enough pressure in the tank to drive a lag bolt. This tool is excellent. It has a quick charging time and has the power I need. daily use Tool works well on day to day use of lag screws 6-8"
in length. Whether installing or removeing. Only problem
is rocker switch fails to engage gun after about 2 months
of use requireing repair. But every brand that I have
used in the past that was electric with same switch type
also failed.I will purchase the Dewalt impact cordless
from now on because it is cordless and there is no differ-
ence in this one and the electric version.

Set-up
Great Impact WrenchThis is an excellent tool. It's high quality and has a lot of power. It can take of lug nuts without any effort. It actually broke a bolt on me when I was tightening a nut.
I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't have any power adjustment the way that an air powered impact wrench has. It's an all or nothing scenario.
I am also not found of the trigger because you squeeze the top of it to remove a bolt and the bottom of the trigger to tighten. It's too heavy of a tool to share both of these functions on the same trigger. Make it like a drill where there is a forward and reverse switch. It's also very loud with the hammer action. Other than these issues, it's a great impact wrench and I highly recommend it. Especially if you already use 18 volt Dewalt tools and could use a couple of extra batteries.
